Lake Kegonsa State Park Conditions

Conditions as of Tuesday, February 2, 2010:

Trails

The park received about 2 to 3 inches of snow on Monday. The cross-country ski trails were groomed and tracked today, and are in fair condition. There is a light cover of snow over ice, so many areas are slippery. Please use caution when on the trails. The trails are still closed to hiking, snowshoeing, and pets. Call the park office, (608) 873-9695, for the most recent condition updates.

Another candlelight event is scheduled for February 13.

Cross-country skiers, please note the changes to the 2009-2010 ski trails on our winter map [PDF 61KB].

Camping

The campground, shower building and dump station are closed for the season and will re-open in May 2010.

The new sections of the family and group camps will also open in the spring and are reservable. To reserve a campsite for dates May through October, 2010, call (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275 or use the Web. Please note the camping rules.
