Military Ridge State Trail Conditions

Conditions as of Friday, December 11, 2009:

The trail is open. The eastern section of the trail from Blue Mounds to Verona has been groomed. The western section of the trail from Blue Mounds to Dodgeville will be groomed sometime this afternoon.

The restrooms along the trail are closed for the winter.

State trail passes are required for people 16 years and older who bicycle, roller blade and roller ski. Passes may be purchased at self-registration boxes at the Verona trailhead, Riley, Mt. Horeb, Blue Mounds and Dodgeville. They may also be purchased at various vendors listed at the kiosks.

Pet owners, please be sure to have your pet on a leash, 8 feet or shorter, at all times. You must pick up after your pet.

Horses and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are not allowed on the Military Ridge Trail corridor.
