Rib Mountain State Park ConditionsConditions as of Wednesday, January 20, 2010: A road and sewer project in 2010 may block vehicle access to the amphitheater area, so we are not accepting any reservation applications for weddings or other events for 2010. TrailsThere are excellent snowshoeing opportunities at the park. A candlelight snowshoe event is scheduled at Rib Mountain for February 13, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Snowshoe rentals, hot chocolate and other goodies will be available. Sponsored by the Friends of Rib Mountain State Park [exit DNR]. The Friends of Rib Mountain State Park and Park Staff completed the development of the "Quarry Trail" a new hiking/snowshoe trail that leads to the old 3M property purchased by the state several years ago. A new trail map showing these trails is available at the park office. CampingRib Mountain will not have camping in 2010 or access to the top of the hill due to road and infrastructure work. NaturePlenty of deer, turkeys, fox, woodchucks and other wildlife can be seen in the woods.
