Wildcat Mountain State Park Conditions

Conditions as of Wednesday, February 3, 2010:

Trails

We have great skiing after receiving 3 inches of new snow. The main trail loop and overlooks from the park office were regroomed Tuesday, February 2. The main loop is groomed for both skate skiing and classical. The overlooks are groomed for classical.

You can snowshoe or hike anywhere in the park except on the cross-country ski trails. The Old Settlers Trail has been designated for snowshoeing and has been marked for that purpose. The Old Settlers trail is 2.5 miles long and is an intermediate trail with some difficult sections.

The horse trails are closed for the season.

Campgrounds

The horse and group campgrounds are closed for the season.

The family campground is open year-round. The shower building is closed for the season. Drinking water is available at the park office.

Make reservations for family, horse, or group campsites for dates in May through October by calling (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275, or using the Web.
