High Cliff State Park
Water Recreation

Boating

Lake Winnebago offers unlimited opportunity for boating. The park offers four developed boat launches. Windsurfers, kiteboarders and paddlers enjoy access to the lake using the undeveloped boat launch. A state park vehicle admission sticker is required to launch.

The park's marina offers concessions from Memorial Day through Labor Day and some weekends in the spring and fall as staffing allows. Park visitors may purchase food and beverages, as well as ice and general camping / boating supplies.

Boaters may remain overnight aboard boats moored in the marina. The marina has over one hundred slips available for rent. For transient slip rentals, call the marina at (920) 989-1349 (Memorial Day through Labor Day). For seasonal slip rentals, contact the Harbor Commission. Slip rentals include the use of the marina shower building.

High Cliff Beach

The Lake Winnebago lakeshore also is a place for relaxing and bird watching.

Fishing

Both the Butterfly Pond and Lake Winnebago have fish for you to catch. The pond may yield largemouth bass and panfish. Fish for walleye, white bass, and perch on the lake. You'll need a Wisconsin fishing license.

Swimming

High Cliff's sand beach is unguarded. Don't swim alone, and watch children closely near the water. The bathhouse has flush toilets, showers, changing areas, and open shelters.
