Job Description: Job Description: Work under the general guidance of the Forestry Program NR Educator to achieve the following: Assist with events and materials associated with Arbor Day Activities - Coordinate production and distribution of the Arbor Day Calendar- Assist with the Special Recognition Ceremony at State Capitol - Reformat, improve and coordinate mailing of statewide 4th Grade Writing Contest materials - Assist with design, installation and dismantling of the Forestry Program's annual Wisconsin State Fair exhibit- Work with the Forestry Education Specialist Team and assist with content, design and implementation of exhibit ideas - Assist with State Fair staffing plan and other material needs - Assist with the management of Forestry Division publications -Design system to manage exhibits and track their use - Assist with preparation of annual publication needs request. Assist with other educational projects as directed. Responsibilties and Accountabilities 50% - Assist and develop materials associated with annual forest resource conservation education and outreach initiatives. 30% - Assist with the management of Forestry Division Publications from conception, to design, to printing and reporting and with the design of a system to mange and track exhibits and their usage. 15% - Assist with the preparation and planning of the Division of Forestry's presence at the Wisconsin State Fair 5% - Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Required: Knowledge Required: Experience in developing educational materials for use by citizens, teachers and students. Excellent verbal communications skills, profiecient in use of computers, ability to write and edit clearly, concisely and accurately; ability to work independently and meet deadlines; knowledge of forestry, natural resources and environmental education principles and experience in applying these principles in the development of written materials. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Proficient in use of Excel, Access and desk top publishing software. Candidate should have strong interpersonal and team work skills, strong organizational skills, project management skills, report production skills and have the ability to plan collaboratively and execute independently. Candidate must be able to lift exhibit materials of varying weight; be willing to travel as required; and have the ability to get to various locations.
