Detailed information: The Natural Resources Board will consider: proposed rules affecting chapter NR 140 related to numerical standards to minimize the concentration of polluting substances in groundwater; proposed rules affecting chapter NR 809, related to the promulgation of new drinking water maximum contaminant levels for Perand Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) including Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA); proposed rules affecting chapters NR 105, NR 106, NR 219, and other related regulations to add surface water quality criteria and analytical methods PFAS, including PFOS, PFOA, and any other PFAS for the purpose of protecting public health; and other topics.

Off-Road Vehicle Council Meeting

Detailed information: TheOff-Road Vehicle Council provides advice and makes recommendations to the DNR, the Department of Transportation, the governor and the Legislature on all matters relating to all-terrain vehicle trails and all-terrain vehicle routes, including matters relating to activities conducted on all-terrain vehicle trails and all-terrain vehicle routes by all-terrain vehicle users and utility terrain vehicle users, and makes recommendations to the DNR with regard to requests for funding. The main focus of this meeting is to discussed proposed legislation affecting the grant program and other ATV/UTV related issues. There will be other business conducted as well. The council will connect by phone for communication between the Rhinelander and Spooner service centers. Note: DNR offices are secure buildings; meeting attendees will need to check in at the reception desk to secure a visitor pass and access to the meeting room.

Detailed information: In October 2019, the Natural Resources Board approved the department's recommendation to develop a revision to the Rib Mountain State Park master plan. The business that operates the ski area, Granite Peak Ski Corporation, has requested an expansion of the area leased for downhill skiing. In revising the master plan, the department will undertake a holistic evaluation of the full range of recreational and habitat opportunities at Rib Mountain to ensure that the park, including the ski area, continues to support the ecological, social, and economic needs of the area.The DNR will host a "kick-off" open house meeting to present information about the planning process, the park and the broader region, and to gather initial public input.A brief presentation will take place at 6 p.m.

Detailed information: The Brownfields Study Group was created in 1998 at the direction of the Governor and State Legislature, to evaluate Wisconsin's current brownfields initiatives and recommend changes, as well as propose additional incentives for the cleanup and reuse of abandoned or underused properties with real or perceived contamination. The Study Group continues to drive important brownfields policy changes in Wisconsin.
